DC Women Kicking Ass: New art, new insight into... →
dcwomenkickingass: Prism Comics, a non-profit that which supports LGBT comics, creators and readers, held their annual “Gays in Comics” panel at SDCC and from all accounts it was another great panel (though unlike other years the panel was all male). They also had an auction to raise funds that included this… Oh, can totally see it.

DC Women Kicking Ass: A female centric DC project ... →
dcwomenkickingass: There has been lots of talk about women and comics this week. But as I read the many posts and comments in the discussions of DC Comics and women, I was dismayed to see comments implying women don’t like superheroes. They do. Why wouldn’t they? And this post by a Supergirl cosplayer’s story…

Wonder Woman cover, logo and more artwork
dcwomenkickingass: DC has given retailers a look at the covers of some of the new 52. Here is the cover of Wonder Woman and two more pages of art. That logo is not great. It looks like a throw back to the 80s. But the artwork is wonderful. Let’s hope somebody puts on pants soon, though.

DC Women Kicking Ass: DC Comics makes statement on... →
dcwomenkickingass: This was just posted to the DC website: Over the past week we’ve heard from fans about a need for more women writers, artists and characters. We want you to know, first and foremost, that we hear you and take your concerns very seriously. We’ve been very fortunate in recent years to have… Call me cautiously optimistic.

skalja: [CONTENT WARNING for misogyny.] gabbyegoistafork: At least in the comic books. Then she died. And Mary Jane (That whore) was introduced. And I don’t even read comics. Well, you might be the only one who “knows” this stuff, because quite apart from the oh so charming… Not just wrong, but managing to be a dick about it, too. Kudos.

No Sexism At DC: The Toolbox →
nosexismatdc: The point of this account to date has been to create tools that people can use to effectively communicate dissatisfaction with DC’s content and the behavior, actions and comments of DC leadership. I’ve posted sample letters, contact information, and suggestions about what to say and how to say it….

No Sexism At DC: A Letter To Time Warner →
nosexismatdc: Here’s a letter written to Time Warner about the behavior of DC’s executives at Comic Con and gender inequity in the DCnU. Since this is a letter intended for actual mailing, you’ll note a lack of links, although sources are still cited. In 10 point Arial with 1” margins, it totals two pages so a…
