No lie, Helena Wayne is a perfectly fine character, but Helena Bertinelli is the queen of my soul.
One of the many, many queens of my soul, TBH.She just doesn’t give a fuck.
This is one of my (many) favorite scenes.
“Bullet wound. Bullet wound. Okay. Okay, good”.
Huntress and Question in Birds of Prey #12, by Gail Simone and Jesús Saiz.
Well, damn. There’s one thing that seems to be gone. :(
Well, damn. On the one hand, I love Vic Sage’s episodes of JLU. On the other, Rene. ;_; Also, whitewashing. Why can’t we just have TWO Questions?
I loved WRITING the Vic Sage JLU episode, and was a big Vic Sage fan. I was a skeptic about putting Renee in the mask, I thought it would lessen her character.
I was wrong, I freaking LOVE Renee as the Question. And I could write her and Helena as a team for about a billion years.
And I would happily read them as a team for about a billion years.
well it was going to be someone else (I wonder who) but I’ve decided to change things up and today it is
the late Helena Bertinelli who if you didn’t see my post this morning is dead as of the first issue of Worlds’ Finest.
I was taken with one of my readers Timholtorf wrote
As far as DC Princesses go, I always thought of Helena Bertinelli that way. It’s kind of sad to see her go what with Earth 2 coming out. I always felt that Huntress as a daughter of the Mafia held a better story line than being Bruce Wayne’s daughter. She wasn’t necessarily physically strong like Wonder Woman, but some might say she could match wits and tenacity with that of Batman himself. She was much harsher in her actions than Batman, but that came from a life that she grew up in.
Cries.
