I just think Zinda and Cap should be displaced WW2 hero bros.

I am in fact a fan of Zinda and Steve.

Obvious parallels to a certain film are quite obvious here.

And Vic sees what Helena is about to do from a mile away, yet he doesn’t stop her.

Cry For Blood #6

I loved that her family referred to Vic as the ‘GQ model’

Variations of backgrounds and lineart at the top.

One of the (many) reasons Vic’s death in 52 bothers me is how good he was for Helena.
Not in a ‘she needs a MAN to be blahblablah’ kind of way.
Rather, Vic started her down a path that brought her to the Birds of Prey, to being so much more than the rage and violence most Gotham heroes couldn’t see past. But he did.
And while Cry for Blood ended in such a sad but necessary way, I really wanted a reunion at some later date. One where he’d see just how far Helena had come, that his efforts had not been in vain.
But he’s dead (don’t talk to me about DCnU Question), Helena’s in limbo and…well, DC clearly doesn’t like stories with happy moments.
So I’ll stick with the one in my head.
