The Question by Kevin Colden
Tumblr, how come none of you informed me that AfterEllen.com featured one of my drawings on their “Couples we want to reunite” list?
(Scroll down the page a bit to see my Kate/Renee “You Can Leave Your Hat On” picture.)
“Bullet wound. Bullet wound. Okay. Okay, good”.
Huntress and Question in Birds of Prey #12, by Gail Simone and Jesús Saiz.
Well, damn. There’s one thing that seems to be gone. :(
Well, damn. On the one hand, I love Vic Sage’s episodes of JLU. On the other, Rene. ;_; Also, whitewashing. Why can’t we just have TWO Questions?
I loved WRITING the Vic Sage JLU episode, and was a big Vic Sage fan. I was a skeptic about putting Renee in the mask, I thought it would lessen her character.
I was wrong, I freaking LOVE Renee as the Question. And I could write her and Helena as a team for about a billion years.
And I would happily read them as a team for about a billion years.
Renee Montoya by Marcus To
I promised myself I wouldn’t spend any money at Toronto Comic Con, that I was just heading up to visit Go and Peri…but then Marcus To was there and his prices were OUTRAGEOUSLY AFFORDABLE and I ended up not being able to resist. He’s also like the chillest nicest dude ever (and his gf is seriously awesome too), I ended up spending most of Sunday just watching him draw and talking his ear off and enjoying the hanging out even more than this gorgeous commission. HE REALLY LOVES GOTHAM CENTRAL THIS IS HOW YOU KNOW HE’S A SUPER SOLID INDIVIDUAL OKAY.
Go got a “Huntress” interior of Helena looking like a boss in sunglasses and she and Renee hung out cozily inside his comic bag for most of my visit. B)
(Feel free to reblog w/o my text but keep the first line!)
God Damn! Such a GREAT Montoya. I want a Question series. Or do like they did with Detective Comics and do a double with Batwoman story and Question story. And maybe get Marcus To on art? Please? GAIL! That is the book you should do with Marcus! Do a giant sized Batwoman and The Question!!!
Holy fucking god, can we have a Marcus To drawn Question comic *now*. That’s one of the lovliest Renee pictures I’ve ever seen.
What he said. Wow.
